Knork Flatware Satin Finish Stainless Steel Knork, Set of 4 Review

Recently I was asked to take a stab at using a new and innovative eating utensil called the “Knork®,” which is a cross between a knife and a fork. My family and I tried it for a couple of weeks and decided we really liked it! One family member has mobility issues and cannot easily manipulate a knife and fork, so this unusual piece of flatware is much easier for him to cut and pick up his food using only one hand.
At first glance this looks like an ordinary fork (see picture). However, when you turn it sideways you will see the head of the fork has a uniquely designed “finger platform” so that pressure can be applied without any discomfort to the fingertip. The outer tines are broad, beveled, and curved so the Knork® can easily cut through food, but isn’t sharp enough to cause an injury. The flatware is made of sturdy stainless steel with an enlarged handle for easier gripping and is available in several finishes such as satin, gloss, and matte.
Although the utensil is safe for children to use, they may find it difficult because it is heavier than most flatware. However, they should be able to easily manipulate the Red Plastic 4 Pack Knork reusable plasticware, which is also convenient for traveling, the office, cookouts, camping, etc.

Knork Flatware Satin Finish Stainless Steel Knork, Set of 4 Overview
The comfort and stability of this satin finish Knork set of 4 is a wonderful addition to your tableware and entertainment collections. The Knork’s unique functional and structural abilities are due to its design. This improved universal fork is a combination of the particular functions and characteristics of a knife and fork. With its balanced handle and enlarged end, the Knork provides a greater surface which is able to fit and press against the palm of the user’s hand, providing stability and comfort when using the tool as a knife. The head is comprised of both outer and inner fork tines. The inner fork tines have a shape consistent with a typical fork that is commonly used but the outer tines have increased width. Its curved outer edges provide increased cutting capability through a unique rocking motion. The handle’s balanced and smooth contour also features a finger platform flanking both sides which allows a person to press one or more fingers against the side of the fork for comfort when cutting. This also allows the Knork to be used by persons having either a right-handed or left-handed orientation.

Excellent product. Gives independence to a person. – Nice Lady – Alaska
If someone you know has difficulty using a fork in one hand & a knife in the other, this is a great solution. The knork cuts extremely well, because the side is angled well to be a suitable cutting edge.
Have no fear-place this easily in your mouth without cutting your tongue or anything else.
Yes, the handle is heavier, but that is probably because the knork is designed with a good application of physics. The unique shape of the edge plus the weight of the handle allows one to cut through any thickness if you have a good strong eating hand.
Use the knork properly-place it on the object (like a thick steak) & rock back & forth. Patience is advised-but then it is recommended to eat more slowly- it’s healthy!
Enjoy your steak in a restaurant -you are no longer restricted to soft mushy foods. Be independent-no one has to cut your steak in public anymore!
Great for One-Handed People! – Sondra @ Just Clucking Around – Plano, Tx
Very satisfied with this product. The sides of the fork are just sharp enough to cut through hot dogs, pizza and rotisserie chicken but not sharp enough to cut you, if you slip. It’s great for a one-handed person for normally tender foods. It does not work well for a steak or the hard casing on some sausages.
Love the Knork – T. Stepien – Andover, KS
My husband and I love the knork. We even enjoy going out here in Wichita, KS where many of the restaurants have knorks as their flatware. We use them all the time and the plastic are really great for outdoor eating and tailgating.
